AW446 C205B 20251019 PFF000 PANC-PAKI-PANC 5h12 - fseigler - 10-20-2025 I got a call from Dave (I know him IRL) over at the Alaska Beagle Ranck in Wasilla. Dave is partnering with another animal rescue group to evacuate dogs from the flooded village of Kipnuk and they needed a Caravan to transport the dogs. I told him that we could help out. He met me over at PANC, we loaded the C208 with empty dog crates and headed to Kipnuk. We flew out there via the SQA and BET VORs and the flight took us 2 hours and 54 minutes. Fortunately, we were able to land at Kipnuk. We off loaded the crates and with help from the other rescue group, we loaded a dog in each crate and re-loaded the plane. We used more fuel than I had anticipated getting out there so it is a good thing that I had loaded 6 five gallon cans of fuel in the cargo pod so we had a little extra fuel to add to the tanks for the return flight. We made the return flight to PANC via the BET and SQA VORs and the flight took 2 hours and 18 minutes. NOTE: Due to an error on my part, I lost all of my screenshots except for the last one which is the landing back at PANC. Sorry for the lack of pics.

RE: AW446 C205B 20201019 PFF000 PANC-PAKI-PANC 5h12 - fseigler - 10-20-2025 I have met Dave, visited the Alaska Beagle Ranch and contributed to the Ranch IRL. Dave actually has partnered with another animal rescue and they really are trying to get a Caravan to fly to Kipnuk and evacuate dogs from there so my flight is the virtual version of a real like rescue mission. RE: AW446 C205B 20201019 PFF000 PANC-PAKI-PANC 5h12 - JoaoPaz - 10-20-2025 You're really our guy on the field! First the Iditarod and now the rescuing flights At least (according to my sims real weather) those communities are being blessed with good weather now, not to mess further with their situation. I'm currently at Kwigillingok and will return to Kipnuk, hopefully tomorrow. Great (and real) story, Frank, thanks for sharing!
