This is flight number PFF000 from CHP to PAFA

Presenting historic Wein Air DC-3 flight from CHP Circle Hot Springs Airport located in Circle Hot Springs in the Yukon-Koyukuk area of Alaska to PAFA Fairbanks International Airport located three miles southwest of the central business district of FairbanksCircle Hot Springs was very famous for its hot spring resort with a 4-story lodge that gained statewide and international attention where rich people in Alaska usually went to that hotel for vacationThat is why Wein Air had regular service to CHP Circle Hot Springs airport as seen on this official airline timetable below that you can find my recreating of the historic flightReady to load up returning vacationers and their luggagesClosing the passenger doorCheck out the reflection of clouds on the shiny wingStarting engines!!Spooling up engines because of sub zero temperatureStarting to taxi to runway 27Still taxiingIncreasing throttle power to start take off run which results into snow blowing behind the enginesAirbone on climb to 10,000 ft while retracting landing gear

Still climbing still at runway or 270 degree heading because of too high mountains on left sideYou can see how high the mountains are which means I cannot make left turn to head to west to start BNGAL HOVMO FA flight routeFrom this cockpit view, you can see that the runway heading is clear but the mountains on left side are still too highLooks like the plane is at safe distance above mountains which signals time to make left turn toward destinationMaking left turn to westStill on left turnNow on correct direction cruising at 10,000 ftWing view of cruising 10,000 ft above snowy landscapeGorgeous wing view of sunSorry cannot resist another amazing view of sun

Time to descend from 10,000 ft to 3,000 ftPassing Johensen Expressway also known as Geist Road where you can see waters of Noyes Slough running through that road

Is that the old Aeroworx DC-3? If so, I had so much fun in that thing back in the day. If I get another SSD, I may just put FSX back on and dust off some old favorites.

Just added FS2000 and FFS2002 so I may add back some of our old sceneries and aircraft
FS9 is going strong and very active, and FSX will follow!

Third of all,  it is Manfred Jahn DC-3/C-47 model base for use of FSX. It is freeware and terrific.

Thank you for your kind words.  And yes you can count on seeing DC-3/C-47 again in future in Alaska themed liveries and hopefully in Alaskan Winds livery if it was painted on Jahn model base.  Also, my apologies to you for my 2 day late reply too.

No worries Aharon. Yes, I remember the name Manfred Jahn. He made a few aircraft I used to fly in FSX. Did he do a Connie or a DC-4 too by chance?

That would be correct.  Jahn also made new C-97 Stratofreighter model base for FSX too.  It is awesome.  If you need Jahn's Connies of all various models and also various models of his C-4s, they are available in CalClassic websiite.  C-97 can be found in SOH forums. C-97s were used in Alaska for fish cargo haulings.
